Thank you.
Thank you for either subscribing to this newsletter, staying around, and reading them. My last two letters to you really resonated and brought in the most new subscribers to date that I’ve seen on this platform, and we’re just getting started. Thank you, and welcome to the newbies.
I’ve been reflecting on the stories we tell ourselves—how we envision our goals and dreams, yet sometimes find ourselves stuck in the same cycle. It’s time to break free from that cycle.
Enough is enough. You’ve made all the excuses. You’ve scrolled on social media or seen someone in real life and thought: “I can do that.” “That’s my idea.” “I’d love to learn that.”
But then…nothing. Maybe you got started and gained some momentum—for a few days, weeks, even a month. But then the gremlins showed up: ego, imposter syndrome, procrastination, fear, doubt, comparison. And they halted your vision.
Another year has flown by, hasn’t it? Faster than the last. And yet, some things remain undone:
Losing that weight
Writing that book
Moving to that dream location
Ending that relationship (or calling the person you like)
Starting that business
Reconnecting with an old friend
Taking that family vacation
Writing that song
Starting a plant-based diet
Scheduling that overdue photoshoot
Speaking up for yourself
Quitting that soul-sucking job
Booking that solo trip
Going to the doctor
Taking your partner on a special date
Sound familiar? Trust me, I’ve been there. Maybe you started but had no idea what you were doing—or lacked the right support. I get it.
Here’s what my years as a doula taught me: time can be our best friend or our worst enemy. Time waits for no one, but it can also trick us into thinking we have plenty of it. It’s all about perception.
So, I ask you… Who are you being this year?
You probably have intentions, resolutions, or goals. Maybe you’re excited. Maybe you’re overwhelmed because you’ve let yourself down before. This isn’t about disempowering you—it’s a mirror. A reminder that every great artist, musician, and creator started somewhere. They took that first step and kept going.
What are you waiting for? When will it ever be the perfect time?
Here’s the thing: You might fail. You might pivot. You might start over. But you’ll never know unless you begin—and keep moving.
How I Learned to Leap
The main reason I’ve been able to take leaps of faith is my relationship with fear—and God. My desire to grow and evolve overpowered the voices of doubt in my head. Some examples:
Performing at the Apollo Theater with just days’ notice
Traveling to India for a 10-day silent retreat
Working directly for C-level executives of top global banks
Performing at one of the largest U.S. festivals
Moving to a new country during the pandemic
Ending a 6-year relationship
Reconnecting with my estranged father (new video)
Closing a 7-year business
Each step required courage. Each step taught me that choosing love over fear, courage over comfort, and faith over doubt is a practice. It’s a muscle you can build.
A Vision for 2025
This brings me to an idea I’ve been nurturing:
I’m launching my first official intentional space—a virtual membership and safe container for growth. (Some of you I’ve already reached out to…)
This space is for those who feel like 2025 is their year.
Their year to stop playing small.
Their year to stop holding back.
Their year to show up authentically—while being seen, celebrated, and held accountable.
I want to share my tools, gifts, and experiences with you—and bring in other brilliant, powerful people to share theirs. Together, we’ll set intentions, create goals, and take meaningful steps forward, one day at a time.
We often overestimate what we can do in a day but underestimate what we can accomplish in a year.
This container will be the space you’ve been looking for—a space for leaders, out-of-the-box thinkers, artists, entrepreneurs, and creatives. An ongoing membership for individuals seeking accountability, growth, and support in personal and creative pursuits.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, uninspired, frozen by procrastination or perfectionism, or overwhelmed by your big dreams—this is for you.
If you’ve been wanting to change your environment—whether it’s physical or the people around you—this is for you.
If you’ve been wanting to step into your artistic nature or turn your side hustle into your main hustle—this is for you.
An Invitation to Founding Members
I’m inviting you to become a Founding Member—a co-creator of this community.
As a Founding Member, you’ll play a key role in shaping this space while growing, learning, and evolving with other incredible souls.
Here’s what I have in mind so far:
Exchange: $33/month or $360/year. This founding rate will stay locked in for you, even when the price increases for future members.
Frequency: Two live sessions per month to start. These will include workshops, classes, Q&As, and guest speakers. We will also provide curated tools and resources as the community grows.
Topics: We’ll cover a wide range of areas, including mindfulness, self-mastery, emotional intelligence, relationships, creativity, entrepreneurship, courage, wellness, focus, and consistency. Each session will provide practical tools and strategies to support your growth or offer space to share where you are on your journey.
Tools: Meditation, Breathwork, Yoga, Mobility and Functional Movement, Writing, Productivity and Organizational Strategies, and Masterminds.
Platform: Zoom (with all sessions recorded for flexibility).
Community: Accountability, support, like-minded individuals, collective wisdom and experiences, etc.
Who is This For?
This space is for those ready to embrace growth, take bold steps forward, and connect with others on a similar journey. You’ll need an open mind, a willingness to think differently, and a determination to become the person you know you truly are.
If this resonates—if you feel a shift in energy or even a physical pull—I’d love to have you join.
Simply reply to this email, and we’ll take it from there.
Doors close on January 25 or once we reach capacity-- don’t overthink it.
It’s time to stop letting fear win. You are more than capable.
Either way, know this: It’s always love.
Til next time,
Oge
